The first part of Europe’s leading Real Estate Innovation Contest is over as the Real Estate Innovation Network has stopped accepting applications. I am overwhelmed with the amount and quality of startups which applied for the Real Estate Innovation Contest, the PropTechMap and EXPO REAL 2018. Within three months the REIN Team scouted over 1,600 European startups and received a total of 452 applications.
The next phase of the Real Estate Startup Contest is already underway and we have begun our transparent online evaluation process within the six categories: Invest, Market, Plan & Build, Manage & Operate, Smart City, Work. Startups will be provided with an evaluation and feedback from an international expert jury by the 14th of April, and the Top 50 will be notified for the PrePitch in Berlin. The feedback from the other jury members is beneficial to all startups that applied as the expert jury provides guidelines for a successful product-market fit. I am looking forward the see them all in Berlin.
The Top 50 will be invited to the PrePitch at SpaceShack in Berlin on 25th and 26thof April. The proptech startups will meet our international partners and jury from the following countries: United Kingdom, Spain, Belgium, France, Holland, Norway, Finland, the Baltics, Austria, and Switzerland. This meticulous stage will only allow the best 25 out of our Top 50 through to the next round. The 25 best startups win a workplace and a pitch at EXPO REAL in front of over 40,000 real estate professionals.
